Christmas Tree Festival
The Christmas Tree Festival will be held over the weekend of 10th and 11th December. Please contact Carl if you would like to help decorate a tree, help with refreshments, man the sales table or help in any other way over the weekend. The festival will finish with our traditional Carol Service, by candle-light, on Sunday 11th December at 4 pm
Day to day expenses
We are very grateful to everyone who has a set of regular giving envelopes or who makes a monthly direct debit payment to the Church. We do desperately need more parishioners to do the same. Please consider if you can afford to give a regular amount to your village Church - 10 people giving £10 a month would increase our income by £1200 and would mean we could afford to fully insure the church.
Please do speak to Carl or Martin Moore (369369) if you feel able to help.
Thank you.

Filby School
We have returned to school refreshed and ready for another busy term. By the time you read this we will have had our Harvest Celebration on Monday 26th September and our school trip on Tuesday 27th September, Class 1 to Letheringsett Mill and Felbrigg and Class 2 to Cromer Lifeboat Station and museum.
This year the collection at the Harvest Celebration will be used to buy some goats for poor African families. Extended African families, often very poor themselves, take in orphans. To help the families a dowry of 2 goats will be given to each orphan. This will provide milk and the opportunity to build up a goat herd. I hope you will agree this is a very worthwhile cause which the children enjoy supporting. If you wish to contribute to the collection please feel free to pop into school with a donation.
