Filby Playing Field
Fund raising continues for the new pavilion. Planning permission bas been granted and we are awaiting prices from our surveyor. The "Buy a Brick" fund is still running at Filby Post Office. £1 per Brick in memory of a loved one or grandchildren etc.
A Coffee Morning/Bargain Sale has been arranged for Saturday 17th March 2007 10am - 4pm proceeds to new Village Hall (Phone Barbara on 01493 369615 or 01493 369250 for further details)
Filby in Bloom
Work continues every Saturday morning.
Our tunnel is being replaced after damage caused during the gales.
The theme this year is James Bond being 2/007.
Open Gardens weekend is on 21st/22nd July. Anyone willing to help in any way or open their garden, please contact Adrian on 01493 369250

Parish Council
As Thrigby Road is the only main route into the Parish of Thrigby, with the present policy it should be gritted. A letter has been sent to NCC requesting this.
Speed at Filby Heath Following a number of accidents, a site visit has been requested with NCC to discuss this problem. Date to follow.

The sign has been repainted by David Thompson and will be reinstalled in the next few weeks as part of our Filby in Bloom/Village Improvement works
Elections
Borough Council May 3rd. David Thompson's adoption meeting is on March 1st 7pm in the Clubroom. If you need a postal vote contact Adrian on 01493 369250
Waste Paper
Please continue to leave waste paper/yellow pages, junk mail etc at the Blue Bank at Filby Post Office. Money raised to new Village Hall.
Paper can also be left at the school for school funds
