New Village Hall
Funds continue to grow with a successful Coffee Morning raising £240 - thanks to Barbara and Jenny and their team of helpers Bricks still available at £1 at Filby Post Office
The lottery application will be submitted on 30th April - thanks to Mr Steven Brown for his excellent work. Fingers crossed!!
Filby in Bloom
Thank you to Jenny Barnes and family for £565 for the Quiz in February and £144 for the Quiz in April also to Mrs Bevan for £100 donation and Mrs Martin for £50 donation
All bedding and basket plants have been pricked out.
Thank you to Mr and Mrs Gibson for use of their greenhouse.
We continue to meet every Saturday morning for work improving the village

Elections
Borough Council elections will take place on 3rd May Polling 7am -10 pm
Candidates are David Thompson, Filby Post Office and Barbara Wright, 145 Burgh Road, Gorleston
There will be no Parish Council Election this time as only 7 nomination forms were received for 7 seats.
Philip Green and Barry Forsdike decided to stand down and we are very grateful to them for the work they have done

Waste Paper
Please continue to leave waste paper/yellow pages, junk mail etc at the Blue Bank at Filby Post Office. Money raised will be for the new Village Hall.
Tug of War
Fleggburgh has challenged Filby to a Tug of War. We need 8 men and 8 ladies to pull for Filby on 15 August at Fleggburgh Fete at 7 pm. Would anyone interested please contact Adrian.
