A meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 8th January 2008 at 7.00 pm IN THE CHURCH HALL (the clubroom is already booked)

A public meeting has been arranged for 19th January 2008 2pm - 5pm. Filby in Bloom, in conjunction with the Energy Saving Trust, want to reduce emissions and encourage the use of renewable energy systems. This can be as simple as installing low energy light bulbs through to solar heating and biomass burners etc. There is something for everyone to do their bit for the environment

Christmas Cards
Cards can be left at Filby Post Office for recycling. The Craft Club may use them and the remainder will raise money for the New Village Hall from waste paper. Please continue to leave your waste paper/yellow pages, junk mail etc at the Blue Bank at Filby Post Office
New Village Hall
We were disappointed that we did not get the Lottery Grant, however work will go on to obtain other grants. Peter Chapman has agreed to be Grants Co-ordinator and help would be much appreciated with fund raising and donations. You can still buy a brick for £1 each to raise funds for the Hall. Details at the Post Office.
Wanted
Clothes, material, handbags and shoes (any condition, but clean)
These will be bagged up and sent to under-developed countries, so you will not only be helping them. but bringing in revenue for the New Hall.
