Born on the 29th April 1894, Thomas was the eldest child of Frederick and Laura Alberta Hudson, neé Fuller.
In 1901 Thomas and family were living on Filby Heath. He was attending Filby school and left at 14 years.
Thomas enlisted in Norwich and joined the 9th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment, service number 40019. He was a private when he died of his wounds in France and Flanders on the 28th October 1916. He was 22 years old.
Thomas is remembered on the Filby school and church memorials and also the Grove Town Cemetery at Meaulte, France. In September 1916 casualty clearing stations were established in Meaulte to deal with casualties from the Somme battles.
Thomas was awarded the Victory medal and the British medal.
